Creek high; large tree fallen across it from the west bank. Sky almost cloudless, sky and lake pale orange after sunset. A few mallards on the lake, a pair of silhouetted red-necked grebes (?), one diving. Bird song in the air.

Creek high, lake high; good breeze from the northwest. A few Ebony jewelwing damselflies in patches of sun along the creek path. Gaggle of geese and goslings on the southeast shore, a beached sailboat nearby. A few people at both beaches, fishermen on the shore and docks. Fishing boat on the water. Many ducks and ducklings off the northern shore. Milkweed beginning to bud and bloom.

Lake rimmed with algae on milfoil, showing bubbles, dusted with cottonwood seed. Fishing boat and fishing canoe on the water; another canoe. Fishermen on the southwest dock and on the shore. Loud frog calls from the northern marsh. Large stand of golden Alexanders nearby.
