Great blue heron stalking off the western shore. More horned grebes farther north and elsewhere along the shore. Goose crossing the path. More buffleheads and mergansers off the northern fishing dock. Scores of coots off the northeast shore. A few mallards; several pied-billed grebes. Call of a loon from the middle of the lake.
