Stands of purple loosestrife opposed across the southwest inlet. Immature pied-billed grebe diving off the western shore. Artist at her easel in view of the band shell. Mallards about. Milkweed pods forming along the northern shore; goldenrod in bloom in the northeast marsh. Paths busy with joggers. Large stand of daisies in sunlit bloom lights up the shade of the creek.
