A few horned grebes and buffleheads in the middle of the lake; a cluster of pied-bill grebes. Two paddle boards in use. White sailboat buoys in place off the northwestern shore. Red-wing blackbirds calling out from the northern marsh. Robin singing loud and long over the creek. Scillas beginning to fade. Robust mushrooms growing from a tree stump. Purple violets beginning to show; flowering cherry tree.

Goose nesting in the southwest inlet; coots and another goose farther north. Large bird (eagle?) scaring a pod of coots into noisy retreat to a branch over the water. Pair of geese calling in flight towards the lake over the northern shore.
