Few people at the lake; a clutch of mallards off the southeastern shore; quiet except for sounds carrying from the band shell on the other side of the lake. A few small stands of Campanula ranunculoides in bloom. Sound of fish breaking the water. Fox ambling on the sidewalk next to the high road.
