Blue sky, few clouds at the horizon. Coots scattered all over the lake. Goose on the nest in the southwest inlet, other goose on the shore nearby. A few horned grebes and buffleheads in the middle of the lake; a cluster of pied-bill grebes. Two paddle boards in use. White sailboat buoys in place off the northwestern shore. Red-wing blackbirds calling out from the northern marsh. Robin singing loud and long over the creek. Scillas beginning to fade. Robust mushrooms growing from a tree stump. Purple violets beginning to show; flowering cherry tree.
